DESCRIPTION: This herbaceous perennial flowering plant
OTHER NAMES: Also known as burn nettle, common nettle, nettle leaf, or just a nettle or stinger.
POTENTIAL BENEFITS: Used to help decrease blood pressure, decrease blood sugar levels, decrease seasonal allergies, and decrease inflammation. It is used as a diuretic (increase urinary flow) and decrease symptoms of benign prostatic hypertrophy (prostate health). Stinging Nettle also helps with joint pain as a result of decreasing inflammation.
NUTRIENTS Stinging Nettle has Vitamins A, C, and K along with several B Vitamins. It also has the minerals Iron (Fe), Calcium (Ca) and Magnesium (Mg), along with having the properties of all Amino Acids. And there's more! Stinging Nettle has Linoleic acid, Linolenic acid, Palmitic acid, Stearic acid and Oleic acid. You want quercetin? Well, Stinging Nettle has quercetin too!
POTENTIAL SIDE EFFECTS: No side effects known when used as recommended, although drowsiness may occur. While usage can be up to 3x/day, it is best to see how you respond to Stinging Nettle as you increase dosage.
PARTS USED: Aerial. Note - the 'aerial' parts of the plant are the parts that grow above the ground and are exposed to air. This would be the buds, flowers, fruits, leaves, and stems that are essential for functions like photosynthesis, reproduction, and transpiration, which are different and a direct contrast from the roots (subterranean parts) of the plant.
GENERAL USAGE: May be used daily as a tincture 2 - 4 ml per day up to 3x/day. 1 ml would be 1 dropperful, which is about 20 drops or take this product by mouth as directed by your healthcare provider.
