This morning's Musical DLG ™ (Download from God ™ ) is called, "Movin' On" by Missouri. Oh I just Love this song! It brings me back to the 70's and high school. "And my destiny is bound to move me on." As I progressed through my day with this song still playing in my head, I kept coming in contact with stories where an individual felt motivated to give up something that was no longer working for them in order to move on to their destiny (destination). The first story that came across news feed was Tim McGraw giving up whiskey because it was getting in the way of his destination. One after the other, the stories kept popping up where an individual 'chose' to let go in order to move on to something else. Sometimes you do have to give up one thing in order to move on and experience something else. Some individuals have actually been forced out of their comforts only to come out on the other side a different person. Moving on is an innate feeling that we have all experienced at one time or another.
We often hear the phrase, "It's not the destination, it's the journey" and while I do believe there is a lot of Truth in that statement, I also believe there is a lot of Truth in the statement, "It's not the journey, it's the destination." It takes a brave soul to stay focused on the destination and to let go of one thing in order to move on and experience the next. It reminds me of when I moved on from my clinic to birth this website. Or when I moved on from writing for various holistic newspapers in order to spend time writing a book. Or the day when I was at a weekend retreat and felt the need to leave a day early and move on. Something just hit me and I had to leave. I had to move on. I was complete with the weekend. On the way home is when the entire Treat Yourself Special e-Course Program was downloaded from God into my brain. I always knew that I had a destination in this physical world, although I think we know me by now that my True destination is not here on earth, it is in the Spirit realm. I'm also one who believes "I'm alone, on my own" just as the song says. I find beauty and peace in that as I reach out to the Spirit realm for a connection first. But hey, that's just me. I'm pretty deep folks. However this song manages to impact you today, remember that sometimes it is your destiny that moves you on and the journey is really just icing on the cake.

MOVIN' ON by Missouri the lyrics are below the video
[Intro]
And that road goes on and on into the sunset
And my destiny is bound to move me on
And I'll never find the one to satisfy my soul there
Girl I want you but I just gotta go
Girl I want you but I just gotta go
Girl I want you but I just gotta go
[Note -- there is a long pause after the intro]
Movin' on,
From town to town
I'm alone,
On my own
All my life,
When I been movin'
Don't know why,
Just gotta go
And that road goes on and on into the sunset
And my destiny is bound to move me on
Never find the one to satisfy my soul there
Girl I want you but I just gotta go
(Guitar lead solo)
And that road goes on and on into the sunset
And my destiny is bound to move me on
Never find the one to satisfy my soul there
Girl I want you but I just gotta go
One day soon,
I'll stop my searchin'
Find a girl,
Hey and settle down
But for now
When I'm just movin'
Lot's of places
I haven't been
And that road goes on and on into the sunset
And my destiny is bound to move me on
Never find the one to satisfy my soul there
Girl I want you, but I just gotta go
Girl I want you, but I just gotta go
Girl I want you, but I just gotta go
This morning's Musical DLG ™ (Download from God ™ ) is called, "I'm Feelin' You" by Michelle Branch & Santana. If you have read enough of my Daily Messages (links to the left) then you already know that any song that even has a hint of Love, romance or a relationship theme, then my spirit will automatically twist that song into a more spiritual interpretation and this song was no exception.
Folks, I would not even begin to act like I don't have bad, ugly or challenging days where I fall flat on my face and feel like the world is against me and no one understands. Today is not one of those days but what this song did do this morning is remind me of how important it is to always, no matter what occurs in my day, maintain my spiritual focus. The minute I become earth bound and attached to certain outcomes, circumstances and results then I could be setting myself up for a lack of growth, a lack of knowledge and a lack of experience. And folks, I don't do lack!
When you listen to this song, do your best to go to your spiritual relationship with Spirit, Universe, Father, Mother, God, Creator, Mother Nature, Corn Mother . . . Whoever your diety may be and let this song spiritually ground you in a whole other growth and experiential way. If you go to that spiritual place, you may just end up with a lump in your throat and a tear in your eye by the end of the song. Enjoy!~
