Osda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]
Read the last Daily Message titled, What If It All Goes Right?
GREETINGS FROM THE AIR! Yippeee! As you read this I'm on a plane on my way to Norfolk, Virginia to spend a week with my Scorpio mentating playmate Gilda. Just to give you some idea in Oprah friend talk Gilda is my Gayle King who lives in Hampton, VA. Oh, we all have a friend who is our "Gayle." You all remember "H" (Henrietta) right? Well she's my Maria Shriver who lives in Los Angeles, CA. Besides my family, who are a given, my other really close friends are Christine and Julie (who are amazing and 'trouble'), Peg, Cherie, Anna, Renee, Tina and Amy. More on the my time with Gilda as the week progresses but for now, on to the Daily Message. By the way, the pic is of Gilda, me and my grandson Big Tree when he couldn't even walk yet. Dang! This was five years ago! But for now . . on to the Daily Message.

ARE YOU BIG ENOUGH TO TAKE IT?
Wouldn't it be nice if all we had to do was say a few positive affirmations and then botta-boom-botta-bing-BANG-POPCORN! everything manifested exactly the way we wanted it? Well folks, it really doesn't work that way because first you have to have a vision or dream of what you want to manifest. You don't have to have the entire business plan laid out or the full scope of how you will get there. You just need the dream and an openness to anything and anyone that can help you get there. Second, you have to have some faith and confidence that you can create that thing. Third, you have to be willing to do what it takes to get there. Having a dream but not "umpf" doesn't really work. Manifesting a dream takes action. PERIOD!
Pray to God and row to shore.

This takes me to my latest obsession, The Olympic Games. I've been on "Maniacal Watch" with these games because I just can't get enough of the athlete's inspirational stories. One interview with Michael Phelps (maniacal swimmer for the USA) talks about how all he does is eat, swim, eat, sleep, eat, swim, eat sleep, eat. Since the last olympics all he's been doing is eating, swimming and sleeping. Well that may not sound like a Good time to you and me but it's his dream and he is willing to put the work into making his dream a reality. When he swims the announcers talk about how easy he makes it look but we now know all he does is eat, swim, eat, sleep, eat, swim, eat, sleep, eat . . even so, he does everything he can to stay at the top of his game and that can't be easy.
As I listen to each of these athlete's stories I reflect on my own Life and how much work I've been willing to do in order to manifest my dream. For those of you who are new to this website, then you may have missed my Daily Message back in February 2007 called, "My Path of Transformation." It's been a year and a half since that Daily Message and I'm still pushing it. I'm still working it. And I'm still doing it all by myself . . even on the road, at a campsite or in the air. While those first several years were certainly hard, in the same breath it wasn't because I had a dream, a goal, a vision and something that made me happy and that took the edge off. It also hurt. It hurt bad in a whole different way than these athlete's hurt but I still did it. This website is over 3000 pages and is now ranked 116,486 out of 175,480,931 distinct websites in the world with number one being the best. Folks, it didn't come easy but I was willing to do the work and now it is most certainly easy-er. I've been willing to do what it takes. I realize that I make it all look easy but it's what I do. Michael Phelps swims . . I communicate. It still takes a whole heck of a lot of work but it's okay. It's what I do. After all these years typing into the night and getting up early to do it all over again 24/7/365 I feel like I'm gliding across the water now just like Michael Phelps. I'm ahead of the pack, approximately 175,364,445 other websites to be exact but I still have to keep up the pace. I can't let up.
This brings me to my musical DLG (Download from God) this morning. For those of you who don't know, I sleep about four hours a night and I wake up to a song in my head, which I call a musical DLG which serves as the inspiration for my Daily Message. It's not a song on the radio, it's a song that plays out in my head that is audible to me and it goes off just like an alarm clock. I lay there and soak up the song until I get the message of what I'm suppose to write to you. It's as clear as listening to it on the radio. Well this morning I woke up to Ringo Starr's, "It Don't Come Easy." I believe that it doesn't come easy, but at the same time I believe that it does when you do what you Love. Affirmation and prayer certainly serve a wonderful purpose by keeping my Faith and my confidence on track. I do believe that we have to prove ourselves to the Universe (God) that we mean it and we are serious about our dream, that we will hang in there, just like the athlete's have to prove they can have what it takes when they have the time trials to even go to the olympics . . to go the distance. We too have to prove ourselves if we intend to go the distance and experience the outcome we are seeking. Funny how Ringo sings, "I don't ask for much, I only want a trust, and you know it don't come easy." So often we want the gold medal first without really doing the work and paying our dues. Then he goes on to sing . . .
Please remember peace
is how we make it,
Here within your reach
if you're big enough to take it
Enjoy today's musical DLG while you ask yourself, "Am I big enough to take it?" Folks, we've all been purposed to do something and I support your purpose because it came from God. Oh baby we're all soooooo on purpose. I also happen to think that you are big enough to take it and if you want it bad enough, you will work for it.
IT DON'T COME EASY
by Ringo Starr
It don't come easy,
You know it don't come easy
It don't come easy
You know it don't come easy
Got to pay your dues
If you wanna sing the blues
And you know it don't come easy
You don't have to shout
Or leap about
You can even play them easy
Forget about the past
And all your sorrow,
The future won't last
It will soon be your tommorow
I don't ask for much
I only want a trust
And you know it don't come easy
And this Love of mine
Keeps growing all the time
And you know it just ain't easy
Open up your heart
Let's come together,
Use a little Love
And we will make it work out better.
(interlude)
Got to pay your dues
If you wanna sing the blues
And you know it don't come easy
You don't have to shout
Or leap about
You can even play them easy
Please remember peace
Is how we make it,
Here within your reach
If you're big enough to take it
I don't ask for much
I only want a trust
And you know it don't come easy
And this Love of mine
Keeps growing all the time
And you know it don't come easy
"Now get out there, go place yourself UP!
and practice being you."
