There are multiple uses for dryer sheets. Wherever bugs congregate, put a dryer sheet. Use them to dust just about any surface, including blinds. Pat yourself, hair or clothing with a dryer sheet for static-be-gone. Cut a dryer sheet in half and put each half in a shoe to deodorize them. Put a dryer sheet under the seats in your car to keep it smelling fresh. Puts dryer sheets in your luggage, camp gear or sports equipment to keep that old smell away. Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) is a real term used in healthcare that refers to daily basic self-care activities in an individual's residence, outdoor environment or both. The ability or inability that an individual performs their ADLs is a measure of the functional status of the individual, particularly the injured, those with disabilities and the elderly. Very young children require assistance from adults to perform ADLs since they have not yet developed the skills necessary to perform ADLs on their own.

Basic ADLs (bADLs) are the things we normally do such as bathing, dressing, feeding ourselves, functional mobility, personal hygiene and grooming. Instrumental ADLs (iADLs) are things such as housework, money management, preparing meals, shopping and work.

Sometimes it is necessary to review the rules of kindergarten to remember how to be nice to others and use Good manners. And sometimes we just need to go back to the basics of the 'Activities of Daily Living' in order to take better care of ourselves and start living Life rightly.

Below you will see 7 simple activities to accomplish at some point during the day all under the motivation of the the daily mentation question below. You have 24 hours to get through this question along with the 7 activities. READY? SET? GO!

Activities of Daily Living - Mentation Question

Can I take criticism or judgment as easy as I pass it out?

Activities of Daily Living - Hygiene and Grooming

According to microbiologists, your cell phone, the keyboard on your computer and the remote control are all dirtier than your toilet seat. Ewwwwww! For the keyboard and remote control you can buy a can of compressed air at an office supply store or you can use isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab. Never spray the keyboard or remote control with liquid. Today your job is to clean your cell phone, keyboard and remote control.

Activities of Daily Living - Physical Movement

Whenever you sit down or get up, your abdominal muscles, quadriceps (top of thighs), buttocks and hip flexors have to kick in to make these movements achievable. The proper way to sit down in a chair is to sit straight down and scoot back. You should feel these muscles automatically tighten. Most people will bend at the waist, stick their butt out, sit down and then scoot back. This puts pressure on the low back. When you get up from the chair, use these same muscles to make you rise.

Activities of Daily Living - Housework and Cleaning

Libraries are the best place to get books, audiobooks and movies for FREE! If your local library does not yet have your book, audiobook or movie of choice, they will order it for you. And it's FREE! I'm a library-hound and practically raised my daughter in a library. Now she's a library-hound and so is my grandson. Granted some libraries are better than others, but . . . did I mention the library is FREE? If you don't have a library card, it's time to get one.

Activities of Daily Living - Work and Productivity

Work smarter, not harder. This is about being efficient and resourceful, by having the inner resources such as imagination, skill and effectiveness, to handle any situation that comes your way. Your task today is to, "Work smarter, not harder."

Cook or freeze fresh poultry, fish, ground meats, and variety meats within 2 days of purchase. Cook or freezze beef, veal, lamb, or pork, within 3 to 5 days of purchase.
