The job of 'chronic' inflammation is to cause tissue damage or even to the kill tissue. This is why you must address inflammation at the onset. Inflammation is the bodies 'natural response' to heal, not kill. As with everything, too much of a Good thing, isn't. After exercise, one tool for accelerated recovery is to use cold water therapy after your workout to help clear inflammatory biological (cellular) markers.

Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) is a real term used in healthcare that refers to daily basic self-care activities in an individual's residence, outdoor environment or both. The ability or inability that an individual performs their ADLs is a measure of the functional status of the individual, particularly the injured, those with disabilities and the elderly. Very young children require assistance from adults to perform ADLs since they have not yet developed the skills necessary to perform ADLs on their own.

Basic ADLs (bADLs) are the things we normally do such as bathing, dressing, feeding ourselves, functional mobility, personal hygiene and grooming. Instrumental ADLs (iADLs) are things such as housework, money management, preparing meals, shopping and work.

Sometimes it is necessary to review the rules of kindergarten to remember how to be nice to others and use Good manners. And sometimes we just need to go back to the basics of the 'Activities of Daily Living' in order to take better care of ourselves and start living Life rightly.

Below you will see 7 simple activities to accomplish at some point during the day all under the motivation of the the daily mentation question below. You have 24 hours to get through this question along with the 7 activities. READY? SET? GO!

Activities of Daily Living - Physical Movement

Cobra: Lay face down on the floor with your palms at the sides of your chest. Lift your head, shoulders, and chest off the floor, pulling your shoulder blades down and together. Do not pull your belly off the floor or straighten your arms. Stay here for two counts and then lower down. Repeat 8-10 times. As you get stronger and want more, then go ahead and lift your thighs and hips off the floor.

Activities of Daily Living - Housework and Cleaning

If you have more shoes than you have floor space, you can mount a coat rack (hooks on a board) on the wall to hang your shoes on. The utility room is a perfect place for a shoe rack.

Activities of Daily Living - Financial Management

Cut back on magazine subscriptions and catalogs. Magazine subscriptions really aren't expensive but they can tempt you to buy. Catalogs are usually free but they still tempt you to buy.

Activities of Daily Living - Work and Productivity

A little friendly competition can spike your motivation and creativity. I have always had a secret competitor in my head who would serve as a my rabbit. I chase that rabbit until I catch it and then I find another rabbit and chase that one.

Activities of Daily Living - Food Preparation

One way to keep brown sugar from clumping together and getting hard is to put a couple of big marshmellows in the bag. Some people will use a piece of bread. It's the moisture in the marshmellow or bread that helps moisturize the brown sugar. If your brown sugar is already hard, just stick it in the microwave for about 20 or 30 seconds and it will soften.
