The job of 'chronic' inflammation is to cause tissue damage or even to the kill tissue. This is why you must address inflammation at the onset. Inflammation is the bodies 'natural response' to heal, not kill. As with everything, too much of a Good thing, isn't. After exercise, one tool for accelerated recovery is to use cold water therapy after your workout to help clear inflammatory biological (cellular) markers.

Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) is a real term used in healthcare that refers to daily basic self-care activities in an individual's residence, outdoor environment or both. The ability or inability that an individual performs their ADLs is a measure of the functional status of the individual, particularly the injured, those with disabilities and the elderly. Very young children require assistance from adults to perform ADLs since they have not yet developed the skills necessary to perform ADLs on their own.

Basic ADLs (bADLs) are the things we normally do such as bathing, dressing, feeding ourselves, functional mobility, personal hygiene and grooming. Instrumental ADLs (iADLs) are things such as housework, money management, preparing meals, shopping and work.

Sometimes it is necessary to review the rules of kindergarten to remember how to be nice to others and use Good manners. And sometimes we just need to go back to the basics of the 'Activities of Daily Living' in order to take better care of ourselves and start living Life rightly.

Below you will see 7 simple activities to accomplish at some point during the day all under the motivation of the the daily mentation question below. You have 24 hours to get through this question along with the 7 activities. READY? SET? GO!

Activities of Daily Living - Mentation Question

I have been given free will to do as I please, so what have I made of my Life?

Activities of Daily Living - Hygiene and Grooming

If you think of your body more like a plant, then you are more likely to water it and moisturize it daily. Men and women need to water/moisturize their entire body from face to toe 'at least' once per day, although in the a.m. and p.m. is best. Chances are you have more than one bottle of unused lotion. Water/Moisturize at least once today.

Activities of Daily Living - Physical Movement

Spend 30 minutes today of non-stop walking. Shopping does not count because that would involve starting and stopping. Keep your body walking/moving for 30 minutes.

Activities of Daily Living - Housework and Cleaning

You need the proper tool/cleaner for the proper job. Use 15 minutes today putting cleaning products in their proper place including underneath the kitchen sink and in the bathroom(s).

Activities of Daily Living - Financial Management

Did you know that when you save loose change you can easily save $500 over the course of a year for an emergency fund. Today begin saving the bare minimum of $1.00 in change every single day.

Activities of Daily Living - Work and Productivity

Do not get sucked into unnecessary conversations or situations. You can easily pull out by not getting involved in the first place. The keyword here is 'unnecessary'.

Activities of Daily Living - Food Preparation

Eat breakfast like a King/Queen, lunch like a working man/woman and dinner like a pauper. In other words, your first meal of the day should be your largest as fuel for your body. As the day moves along your meals should grow increasingly smaller, not the other way around.

Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
