Read the last Daily Message titled, Might As Well Go For Soda

This morning's Musical DLG ™ (Download from God™) called, "Gemini Dream" by The Moody Blues has to be a favorite of mine for obvious reasons. The most obvious is that I am a Gemini and the second is because I was seriously crushed out on Justin Hayward (the lead singer) in the 80's. This song always reminded me of the duality of two great minds that think alike. It also reminds me of the scripture that says, "Where two of you agree on anything, it will be done by my Father in heaven." Did you know that the phrase, "Two are better than one" is also scriptural? (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12) As a Gemini, I do not take duality lightly, especially since I have to deal with me, and the other me, on a daily basis. As I always taught my daughter and grandson, "Take two cookies. That's why God gave you two hands."

The urban dictionary on this song says that it was written about two people having the same dream at the same time. My brain does not interpret that as being two people dreaming while asleep. My brain interprets that as two great minds that think alike and come to an agreement on a dream in Life they hold together. It's like having the 'buddy system' when starting a new diet or going to the gym. It's always easier when you do it with someone else because you have a support system. And speaking of support systems, isn't part of the purpose of sharing yourself with someone is so that you don't have to be alone or go it alone? When you find yourself in a 'Gemini Dream' and holding an intention or goal alongside someone else, then make it work, make it work out, for both of you.

GEMINI DREAM
by The Moody Blues

Long time no see
Short time for you and me
We're on the road
Like you knew we would

First night, so long
A state of mind
What can go wrong
We're here, the time is right
To rock 'n' roll
Right through the night

Make it work out
Make it work
Make it work out
Make it work out
For each other tonight

State fright, candle light
You can let go
Tonight's the night
Came back for you
Glad to see
That you came too

There's a place a Gemini dream
There's no escaping from the Love we have seen
So come with me, turn night to day
You gonna wake up
You know you gonna wake up in a Gemini dream

Turned round to see
Where we've been
And what we believe
In Life, Love
Take a chance
See it through
You'll be glad
That you came too

There's a place a Gemini dream
There's no escaping from the Love we have seen
So come with me, turn night to day
You gonna wake up
You know you gonna wake up in a Gemini dream

Long time no see
The lights go up
For you and me
We're here
The time is right
To rock 'n' roll
Right through the night

Living it
Believing it
Wanting it
Make it work out
Make it work
Make it work out
Make it work out
For each other tonight

Long time no see
Short time for you and me
So fine so far so good
We're on the road
Like you knew we would

< ----------- Pictured is my Mama Bear and Poppy Seed.

This morning's Musical DLG ™ (Download from God ™ ) was a toe-tapper called, "Go For Soda" by Kim Mitchell. I have always Loved this song because it reminds me just how petty 'most' arguments are and how easy they can spin out of control. If one is not aware of the pettiness or able to snap their ego quick enough, the spin can take a serious nose dive and take days or weeks to get over. Just the other day on Facebook I posted a funny conversation between my parents. They had been talking about how lucky they were to have each other. Mama Bear claimed she was luckier to have Poppy Seed and Poppy Seed disagreed and said he was luckier to have Mama Bear. They went back and forth volleying their disagreement with one another until finally they ended up getting in an argument about it. Is that hilarious? My parents have been together for what seems like 684 years and they have learned what can take them out of their little snits the fastest and it's usually a soft serve ice cream cone through the McDonald's drive-through. I call it 'old people make up sex'. So when you find yourself in one of these snitty swirls that can take you to a place you really don't want to go, you might as well just go for soda. Enjoy the song.

GO FOR SODA
by Kim Mitchell
(Lyrics are below the video, that's not really a video)

GO FOR SODA
by Kim Mitchell

Might as well go for a soda...Nobody hurts and nobody cries
Might as well go for a soda...Nobody drowns and nobody dies

So we're in one of our blue moods
You wanna have it your way and I want it mine
All this debating going 'round in our blue mood
Makes me thirsty for Love

Chorus:
Might as well go for a soda...Nobody hurts and nobody cries
Might as well go for a soda...Nobody drowns and nobody dies

Life seems to be a bomb inside your head
Well the bomb in my head is Love
All this debating going 'round in our blue mood
Makes me thirsty for Love

Chorus:
Might as well go for a soda...Nobody hurts and nobody cries
Might as well go for a soda...Nobody drowns and nobody dies
Might as well go for a soda...It's better than slander
It's better than lies
Might as well go for a soda...Nobody hurts and nobody cries

< ----------- Pictured is my friend Renee and I at a Motley Crue concert.

Since I began consistently using Facebook a couple of years ago, my Daily Messages have fallen by the wayside and a load of my visitors have been continually on my tail pushing me to start writing these Daily Messages again. For all you newbies to the site, I wake up every morning, like clockwork, to a song that sounds like it is coming from a radio but it is not. I hear it in my head and outside of my head as if it is in stereo. It is definitely in the room. I do not wake up with an alarm clock, instead I am awakened by a song that I call my Musical DLG ™ (Download from God ™ ), which I take as God speaking to me, through me. What I do with that Musical DLG ™ is write a Daily Message to you on the big screen of Life (called the internet) right here. It is strange but it is True. Today's Musical DLG ™ is called, "Hey, You've Got To Hide Your Love Away" by The Beatles, although this morning it came to me in the version sung by Eddie Vedder, the lead singer of Pearl Jam. This version is from the movie soundtrack, "I Am Sam".

When my Musical DLG ™ wakes me up, I usually just lay there with my eyes closed and let the song speak to me. As I laid there smiling and I could feel a tear sliding out of the corner of my right eye and into my hair. I felt so grateful to be who I am and that is a person who Loves . . . as, who, what, when, where, why and how much I want. Even if or when my Love is not returned, I still have my Love and I find that very cool. It makes me smile. Love to me isn't just a relationshippy romantic word. Love is about my Life and has everything to do with how I go about making my Life work for me. It's about my attitude, my motivations, my work, my health, my livelihood and all of my relationships. When I hear this song, I am so grateful that I have not gotten myself caught up in the judgment of others and that I do not, will not and cannot hide my Love away. It just isn't going to happen in my work, relationships or anywhere else for that matter. I say who, what, when, where, why and how much I Love. Yeah! Whether it is Love of a person, Love of God, Love of hockey or Love of anything else I choose, my position is, "Oh yeah, watch this!" I won't hide my Love away for no one! My favorite word is 'enjoy' and it is through my ability to enjoy the moment that I find Love so easy to do. By the way - I LOVE EDDIE VEDDER! (winky wink) Lyrics are below the video.

HEY! YOU'VE GOT TO HIDE YOUR LOVE AWAY
Performed by Eddier Vedder (lead singer of Pearl Jam)

HEY, YOU'VE GOT TO HIDE YOUR LOVE AWAY
Performed by Eddier Vedder (lead singer of Pearl Jam)

Here I stand head in hand
Turn my face to the wall
If she's gone I can't go on
Feeling two foot small
Everywhere people stare
Each and every day
I can see them laugh at me
And I hear them say

Hey you've got to hide your Love away
Hey you've got to hide your Love away

Why should I even try?
I can never win
Hearing them, seeing them
In the state I'm in
How could she say to me
"Love will find a way?"
Gather round all you clowns
Let me hear you say

Hey you've got to hide your love away
Hey you've got to hide your love away
