Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) is a real term used in healthcare that refers to daily basic self-care activities in an individual's residence, outdoor environment or both. The ability or inability that an individual performs their ADLs is a measure of the functional status of the individual, particularly the injured, those with disabilities and the elderly. Very young children require assistance from adults to perform ADLs since they have not yet developed the skills necessary to perform ADLs on their own.
Basic ADLs (bADLs) are the things we normally do such as bathing, dressing, feeding ourselves, functional mobility, personal hygiene and grooming. Instrumental ADLs (iADLs) are things such as housework, money management, preparing meals, shopping and work.
Sometimes it is necessary to review the rules of kindergarten to remember how to be nice to others and use Good manners. And sometimes we just need to go back to the basics of the 'Activities of Daily Living' in order to take better care of ourselves and start living Life rightly.

What painful thing that happened to me, ended up being one of the best things that ever happened to me?
HYGIENE & GROOMING (Activity)
Vacuum your blankets. If they are too big for your washing machine or you don't yet have time to drop them off at the dry cleaners, then vacuum them of dust and lint. I take my comforters to the cleaners at the beginning of each season.
PHYSICAL MOVEMENT (Activity)
Move it or Lose it! This term can be directly applied to a sarcomere. A sarcomere is portion of a striated muscle fibril, which are tiny pieces of your muscle. If you don't move and exercise those muscles by contracting and relaxing them, you will in fact lose 100 sarcomere's a day per muscle fibril.
HOUSEWORK (Activity)
Make certain your address is clearly marked and your front door is clean and clear of debris and cobwebs. Opportunities come through the front door, plus its just Good Feng Shui upkeep. Wash your front door, tighten the screws, oil the hinges and make certain the numbers or letters are visible. Also, use your front door more than the side door or back door. Opportunities come through the 'front door'.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT (Activity)
Call the 3 major credit agencies - Equifax, Experian and TransUnion and ask them to put a 'freeze' on your credit report. You can also do this online. Then no one (not even you) can open a new credit account without 'you' first notifying the credit agencies. You will not be able to open a new account on a whim without jumping through this hoop. This will help prevent fraud and identity theft. Do it now!
WORK & PRODUCTIVITY (Activity)
I agree with Jerry Seinfeld. He says, "Writer's block is a phony, made up, BS excuse for not doing your work." No matter what your creativity happens to be there are always other ways to get your material. I find that injecting myself in public and getting out in the world is a way for me to see my line of work in action, which stimulates my creativity. I agree, there is no creativity block, only lazy.
FOOD PREPARATION (Activity)
The worst freezer meals are going to be meals with a high water content, like lettuce, celery, cucumber and melons. Also, any meals that are frozen with potatoes or rice will not freeze very well. Fried foods leave a lot to be desired if frozen and reheated. And let's not forget meals that are frozen with dairy such as mayonnaise, sour cream, cream cheese, milk and cream.
