The Moon in Taurus is moving through your 1st house of identity and how other's see you. This house also rules the personality, your attitude, how you see the world, how you look, appearances, your worldly outlook, and self-awareness and how you respond. It includes the self, ego, anima, projected image, expression of inner motivation, soul purpose, initial approach to life and your aura. Take special note that this first house rules your soul's purpose and your inner motivation.

Today begins with the Taurus Moon Void of Course at 6:26 AM EDT and finally settling in Gemini at 6:04 PM EDT. That's a full 12 hours of unscheduled, detoured and delayed circumstances as this lunar energy makes its way from slow and meandering Taurus energy into here-there-any-everywhere Gemini energy. This is quite a shift that may be very welcomed at this point. At exactly 12:14 PM EDT the Moon will actually enter Gemini but it will not settle down and get comfey until it reaches 03 degrees Gemini at 6:04 PM EDT. As I describe in the 3rd paragraph on the Main Void of Course Moon page, this is very similar to what the energy is like when you move from one residence (house) to another. The Moon is not only shifting signs, but it is shifting houses and this occurs every 2 to 2-1/2 days without fail. You should be in those final thoughts of self-worth that I wrote about yesterday and figuring out of how you can shift that energy. Maybe you have been meandering around thinking about a lot of things through over the past two days and now with the Moon in Gemini, you are ready to take off and make things happen for yourself.

Interestingly enough, Mercury the natural ruling planet of Gemini turns Retrograde today until November 10, 2013. Mercury, which rules communication in all forms including our mental abilities, paperwork, machines and the gadgets that we use to communicate. Mercury Retrograde is always a great time to take care of old business, especially while we are still in the two week period following the Full Moon in Aries that just occurred on Friday, October 18, 2013. Think in terms of 'wrapping up old projects with a nice little bow' during this time. Retrograde planets always serve as wonderful do-overs for us as well, so that we can re-do or complete that which we had already started. In other words, all of those half done or nearly done projects need to be wrapped up now. These Retrograde do-overs give us a chance to get things right before we progress forward. So if you can think about what area of your Life you would like to move forward in, then this is a great time to clean up and clear out that area of your Life. Better yet, for all Taurus' on the planet, this will impact your 7th house of committed relationships, partnerships, marriages and contracts and it will especially impact your personal Natal Chart in the area that is ruled by Scorpio because Mercury happens to be in the sign of Scorpio. If you are on Facebook, then you may have seen that Facebook had a huge issue right out of the Mercury Retrograde gate this morning because a bazillion people including yours truly could not log in. It was all over the Twitter feed as well.

During Mercury Retrograde you may be dealing with issues that have to do with marriages, partnerships or committed relationships. Either way, there is a backward motion going on here where you have to retrace your steps and fix something that needs your attention. This may feel like a setback but it is actually calling for you to improve upon this area of your Life before you progress forward. Mercury Retrograde doesn't really last all that long but the effects can certainly feel like it especially if you attempt to be difficult. Mercury Retrograde could cause you to take a step or two backward when it comes to relationships. You may have cold feet or the other person may have cold feet. You may both feel something in the area that just says, "We need to take a step back and just slow down." Mercury Retrograde comes just in time to make us 're-think' our position and improve upon it before progressing forward. It doesn't necessarily mean it's over but it does mean think it over and and over again. Delays right now are not such a bad thing, it may only seem that way.
