ANTIOXIDANTS

Fruits and Vegetables

Antioxidants are a group of nutrients that aid in the protection of free radicals which are tiny, tiny, tiny atoms that can damage our cells and decrease our immune system that may lead to infection and other processes that can result in a condition, disease, illness, syndrome, ache or pain.

It's an Easter egg hunt

The mission of free radical invaders is to "search and destroy". This is their job and they love it. In our bodies we have scavengers that are in search of free radicals. Have you ever been to a scavenger hunt or hunted Easter eggs? Well, this is exactly what our free radical scavengers do. They search for free radicals. We have our own Easter egg hunt going on in our body everyday second of the day and we don't even have to think about it.

Where do I find antioxidants?

Antioxidants come in the form of enzymes, minerals and vitamins. These scavengers should either be in our foods that contain antioxidants or supplemented into our diets. Remember, antioxidants are scavengers and gobblers. They are hungry for free radicals.

Enjoy researching antioxidants and take care of yourself.
