DAILY PRAYER

For a more enriching experience, go down on your knees to pray
or take it one step further and prostrate yourself
(lay face down) on the floor while praying.

Father,

There are times when I treat strangers with less attention and respect than I should. I know how judgmental I can be and I also know how unattractive I can be when I behave in this way. Yet, I don't know why I do this and I offer no excuse. As I think about this lack of attention and respect toward strangers and those who assist me in my everyday Life, it has made me think more about how I treat those who are closest to me and those that I Love, including my friends and family.

Father, help me to become the Loving and kind person that you made me to be and help me to see your "I AM" presence in every person who I come in contact with. Please help me to be a more forgiving, tolerant and merciful. I do realize what I have 'not' done to the least of your brothers and sisters, I have also done to You. Please help me be more attentive toward humanity and to move through my Life with grace and humility.

Through Jesus Christ's Precious Blood and Most Holy Face, I thank You in advance for answering my prayer.

Amen~

DAILY SCRIPTURE

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke

Luke 6:1-5

1 While He was going through a field of grain on a sabbath, His disciples were picking the heads of grain, rubbing them in their hands, and eating them.

2 Some Pharisees said, "Why are you doing what is unlawful on the sabbath?"

3 Jesus said to them in reply, "Have you not read what David did when he and those (who were) with him were hungry?

4 (How) he went into the house of God, took the bread of offering, which only the priests could lawfully eat, ate of it, and shared it with his companions."

5 Then He said to them, "The Son of Man is lord of the sabbath."
