YOUR SPIRITUAL PROGRESSION PATH ™
September 1st

This is a daily game to guide you along your Spiritual Progression Path ™ .
Daily Affirmation, Mentation Question, Quote, Scripture and Prayer
Read slooowwwly and let the words sink in.
It's up to you to find out how they apply to "your" Life.

DAILY
MENTATION

In today's world of 'self-promotion,' what is my motive for using a 'self' promotional tool like Facebook or some other self-promotional medium?

DAILY
QUOTE

"For every one who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

Luke 14:11

DAILY
AFFIRMATION

My 'self' promotion is intended to motivate, uplift and positively influence others.

DAILY PRAYER

For a more enriching experience, go down on your knees to pray
or take it one step further and prostrate yourself
(lay face down) on the floor while praying.

Father, today's reading below serves as a wonderful reminder of how I should always be in a humbled state, never propping myself above others. Every single time I point my finger at others for what they are or aren't doing, in a roundabout way I'm actually sending a blaring message of how wonderful I am because I do or don't something that they are or aren't doing. Well aren't I just wonderful! I'm so sorry for this rude self-promotional behavior Father. If I'm going to be propped up, then it should not be coming from myself. My purity of intent should always be to motivate and positively influence others through my actions and reactions in order to gain favor with You, not to gain status and recognition for myself through other people. Thank You for this awareness today and how I should always have a sobering judgment of the self before I ever begin pointing at others.

Through Jesus Christ's Most Precious Blood, Most Sacred Name and Most Holy Face. Amen~

DAILY SCRIPTURE

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke

Luke 14:1, 7-14

1 One sabbath when He went to dine at the house of a ruler who belonged to the Pharisees, they were watching Him.

7 Now He told a parable to those who were invited, when He marked how they chose the places of honor, saying to them,

8 "When you are invited by any one to a marriage feast, do not sit down in a place of honor, lest a more eminent man than you be invited by him;

9 and he who invited you both will come and say to you, `Give place to this man,' and then you will begin with shame to take the lowest place.

10 But when you are invited, go and sit in the lowest place, so that when your host comes he may say to you, `Friend, go up higher'; then you will be honored in the presence of all who sit at table with you.

11 For every one who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

12 He said also to the man who had invited him, "When you give a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your kinsmen or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return, and you be repaid.

13 But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind,

14 and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. You will be repaid at the resurrection of the just."
