DAILY MENTATION
How much do I Love God?
DAILY QUOTE
"I ALWAYS capitalize the word Good. How many times have you heard the phrase, "God is Good." Well since is, means is, then God IS Good. Makes sense to me."Dr. Loretta Standley~
DAILY AFFIRMATION
Since God knows everything, then He already knows how much I Love Him.
DAILY PRAYER
For a more enriching experience, go down on your knees to pray or take it one step further and prostrate yourself (lay face down) on the floor while praying.
I believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth
of all that is seen and unseen.
I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God,
Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten not made,
one in Being with the Father.
Through Him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation,
He came down from heaven:
(bow at the waist or bow your head)
by the Power of the Holy Spirit,
He was born of the Virgin Mary,
and became Man.
(finish your bow)
For our sake, He was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
He suffered, died, and was buried.
On the third day He rose again
in fulfillment of the Scriptures;
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in Glory
to judge the living and the dead,
and His Kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Lord, the Giver of Life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son
He is worshipped and glorified.
He has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
I acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
I look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come.
Amen~
DAILY SCRIPTURE
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John
John 21:15-19
15 When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love Me more than these?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love You." He said to him, "Feed my lambs."
16 He then said to him a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love Me?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love You." He said to him, "Tend my sheep."
17 He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love Me?" Peter was distressed that He had said to him a third time, "Do you love me?" and he said to Him, "Lord, you know everything; You know that I love You." (Jesus) said to him, "Feed my sheep."
18 "Amen, amen, I say to you, when you were younger, you used to dress yourself and go where you wanted; but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go."
19 He said this signifying by what kind of death He would glorify God. And when He had said this, He said to him, "Follow me."
