"Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards."~Soren Kierkegaard
I use my experience and my knowledge to guide my judgment.
For a more enriching experience, go down on your knees to pray or take it one step further and prostrate yourself (lay face down) on the floor while praying.
Father, I know that I am capable of so much more than the energy that I have been putting out into the world. Sometimes I can be incredibly lethargic, uncaring and self-centered and then choose not to pursue all that I am capable of becoming and all that You created me to be. Help me to snap out of it when I fall into these old patterns of thought or have a momentary lapse of reason. My desire is to serve You and do all things that glorify Your Name. Your Son Jesus said, "He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father." Father, I believe the Words that Jesus spoke and I believe that I AM capable of great works through You. Help me to realize and live my full capability and the personal mission that you created me to do.
Through Jesus Christ's Most Precious Blood, Most Sacred Name and Most Holy Face, I thank You for this awareness. Amen~
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew
24 Then Jesus told His disciples, "If any man would come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.
25 For whoever would save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
26 For what will it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life? Or what shall a man give in return for his life?
27 For the Son of man is to come with His angels in the glory of His Father, and then He will repay every man for what He has done."
