I rub others the right way.

Father, today's scripture is a wonderful reminder that Jesus never distanced Himself from anyone, including sinners. While the scribes and Pharisees were busy standing in their self-righteous attitude having nothing to do with the sinners, Jesus chose to get up close and personal with the sinner. In fact, He was so up close and personal that He didn't fear they would rub off on Him, His approach was that He would rub off on them. Jesus never walked around anyone, instead He walked right up to them and said, "Follow me." He knew where the rub was. The distance between Jesus and the sinner was as close as a rub. Thank You Father for this wonderful state of awareness that the Good within me can be used to rub off on others.
Through Jesus Christ's Most Precious Blood, Most Sacred Name and Most Holy Face, I thank You for this awareness. Amen~
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark
13 Once again He went out along the sea. All the crowd came to Him and He taught them.
14 As He passed by, He saw Levi, son of Alphaeus, sitting at the customs post. He said to him, "Follow me." And he got up and followed Him.
15 While He was at table in his house, many tax collectors and sinners sat with Jesus and His disciples; for there were many who followed Him.
16 Some scribes who were Pharisees saw that He was eating with sinners and tax collectors and said to His disciples, "Why does He eat with tax collectors and sinners?"
17 Jesus heard this and said to them, "Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do. I did not come to call the righteous but sinners."
