Daily Mentation Question for the Spiritual Progression Path

Do I need to respond to every need? If so, is my response a savior mentality, control mentality, ego mentality or guilt mentality?

Daily Quote for the Spiritual Progression Path

Daily Affirmation for the Spiritual Progression Path

I do what I can, when I can.

Daily Prayer for the Spiritual Progression Path

For a more enriching experience,
go down on your knees to pray or take it one step further
and prostrate yourself (lay face down) on the floor while praying.

Father, today's reading enlightened me to the fact that Jesus did not feel the need to respond to every single need. He certainly could but He did not. Jesus took care of Himself and in that caretaking of Himself, He always turned away from others and turned to You. In the reading below, the first thing Jesus did when He woke up in the morning was He turned to You. Jesus always put Himself and His relationship with You first. He ate, He rested, He slept, He prayed, He socialized and did all of the other wonderful things a person should do when they are taking care of themselves. There was always plenty of people for Jesus to teach and heal wherever He was at the time. A lack of audience or lack of sick patients was certainly not a problem for Him. But instead of staying in the same place, Jesus kept moving to spread the Love. He covered more ground by continuing on and allowing His work to take root and sprout wherever He laid His tracks. Jesus was also fully aware that crowds have the ability to dictate an agenda and Jesus was not here to be dictated by others who may wish to change the rules of His work.

Thank You for the awareness, that I should not have a savior mentality and I should recognize my own human limitations. I can only do what I can, when I can and if the purity of my work and the purity of my intent is Good, then my work and intent will speak for itself thereby taking root and sprouting in other areas where it is needed. Jesus' work was not based on Him needing to be needed. His work was based on what He could do as the bearer of Spirit, which was of course enormous. If I do not recognize and acknowledge my own boundaries and human limitations, then that could possibly put me in a control mentality when I know full well that You are in control. Thank You again Father, thank You for working with me, through me and in me. Use me to do Your will, as You will.

Through Jesus Christ's Most Precious Blood, Most Sacred Name and Most Holy Face, I thank You for this awareness. Amen~

Daily Scripture for the Spiritual Progression Path

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark

Mark 1:29-39

29 On leaving the synagogue He entered the house of Simon and Andrew with James and John.

30 Simon's mother-in-law lay sick with a fever. They immediately told Him about her.

31 He approached, grasped her hand, and helped her up. Then the fever left her and she waited on them.

32 When it was evening, after sunset, they brought to Him all who were ill or possessed by demons.

33 The whole town was gathered at the door.

34 He cured many who were sick with various diseases, and He drove out many demons, not permitting them to speak because they knew Him.

35 Rising very early before dawn, He left and went off to a deserted place, where He prayed.

36 Simon and those who were with Him pursued Him

37 and on finding Him said, "Everyone is looking for You."

38 He told them, "Let us go on to the nearby villages that I may preach there also. For this purpose have I come."

39 So He went into their synagogues, preaching and driving out demons throughout the whole of Galilee.
