Father, today's reading causes me to take a stronger look at my Life to see if I am living in the dark or in the Light. Am I living in denial or in Truth? It also makes me wonder if I am living a more physical existence or a more spiritual existence. As a being who is both physical and spirit, sometimes I do live more physically than spiritually. Sometimes I am more concerned about the visible world, which I can see, rather than invisible world that I profess to believe. Thank You for this clear awareness that I need to work harder at allowing my spiritual being to animate and operate my physical being instead of vice versa, simply because I came from You first, before I was ever a physical body. Thank You for helping me realize that I need to utilize my spiritual self more because it is my Light line (Life line) and direct connection to You.
Through Jesus Christ's Most Precious Blood, Most Sacred Name and Most Holy Face, I thank You for this awareness. Amen~
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John
44 And Jesus cried out and said, "He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me.
45 And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me.
46 I have come as Light into the world, that whoever believes in Me may not remain in darkness.
47 If any one hears My sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.
48 He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings has a judge; the Word that I have spoken will be his judge on the last day.
49 For I have not spoken on My own authority; the Father who sent Me has Himself given Me commandment what to say and what to speak.
50 And I know that His commandment is eternal Life. What I say, therefore, I say as the Father has bidden Me."
