DESCRIPTION: Celery exhibits excellent diuretic action and a calming effect on the digestive system, helping to relieve gas and indigestion. The celery juice is a popular folk remedy for the stimulation of menstruation. It has been used in Australia as an acid neutralizer. It can be cooked with milk and then eaten to neutralize uric acid and other acids that are in excess in the body. Celery has been used in tea to relieve headaches. Celery also produces perspiration and has been used for nervous conditions.

POTENTIAL BENEFITS: Diuretic action may help support healthy blood pressure. Contains anti-inflammatory properties. Calming effect on the digestive system. arthritis, lumbago, nervousness, rheumatism.
