Dear Dr. Standley: (60 year old with acne?)

I have been getting a few little white head pimples lately and I feel that my skin is very itchy. I am 60 yrs. old so I doubt if it is acne. A little background: - Over the past four months, I have been on two trips to Shanghai, China. However, I have been there on a number of occasions in the past.

Thank you for the e-mail. I doubt the whiteheads you are experiencing are a result of your trip to Shanghai.
Those with AARP cards (the elderly) are not immune to develop whiteheads or blackheads. The whiteheads and blackheads will be more prevalent on the upper cheeks and skin around the eyes.
