When Your Plans Change

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

So what happens when your plans change? Then your plans change!! There is this running God humor that goes like this - "If you want to know how to make God laugh, tell Him your plans."

This weekend 'the group' of friends that I run around with here in St. Louis have been planning a camping trip from today (Friday) through Tuesday. Actually the camping trip is a standing date that we already know is held for next year, and the next year and the next year.

During the course of this week, as the Universe began to shift as it always does, plans began to change. Several of us (including myself) within 'the group' began the week with a change in plans. We adapted and shifted so that we could still make the scheduled date to leave, which was today. As the week moved on, plans changed for a few other members of 'the group' when finally we all decided that the Universe is shifting so that we all need to remain planted in St. Louis over this holiday weekend. We will still be together but the camping trip needs to be cancelled.

Folks, when your plans change, then they change. That's it! There should be no wailing, stomping, crying, whining and gnashing of teeth. Are you kidding me?!?! When the Universe is shifting for you, then there is a reason for it. Either you are one of those people that walks around stating, "Things happen for a reason" yet you go into freak out mode when 'things do happen' or you will be one of those people who believe that 'things happen for a reason' and you are completely comfortable not understanding why they happened.

Have a blast this weekend whatever you choose to do. I will be online updating as usual and I am still going to load the daily horoscopes up through the weekend so that I have less to do and I can play more. Maybe this updating ahead of time will catch on to my system and therein will be one of those Good things that happen as a result of the change in plans. Things do happen for a reason. How exciting that I have no idea what this change in plans means. THAT jazzes me thinking about it!

My $10 million question now is, what am I doing this weekend? Heck, I don't know but I do know - 1) I accept that things happened for a reason and I don't need to know the reason - 2) 'the group' will find plenty of things to do together around town - 3) I will live my experiential journey as my Life unfolds. It's all Good folks. It's all Good.

The Square's/Challenges in
Your Natal Chart

Osda Sunalei~ [Hello in Cherokee]

Often times in your Daily Horoscopes I mention when the Moon is square your sign. A square is when there are two signs in between you and another sign. Square's present challenges in your Life. A square is where you have to work harder. I am Gemini, that means Pisces and Virgo are square to me. Now this does not necessarily mean that I cannot get along with a Pisces or a Virgo, but it does mean that these two signs will challenge me. On a positive note, this could mean that they are challenging me to be a better me. How cool is that? Always take the positive side folks. Always! My best friend "H" (Henrietta) is a Virgo and we argue like two 10-year old sisters. It is hilarious. "H" really is like a sister to me and it shows. And we Love each other just like sisters.

My friend Amy is a Pisces and the square rarely shows a challenge to our relationship. This is because our personal Natal Charts compliment each other even though she also happens to be my South Node Pisces. The only challenge to our relationship has been the distance between our two U.S. states. "H" and I also have a challenge between our two states. Not surprising that this distance is true and challenging in my relationship with "H" and Amy because we are SQUARE to each other. We just have to work harder to see each other. If you want something bad enough, you will work harder to have it. That's how square's work!

In my personal Natal Chart I have two square's (red lines in the charts that I write), which run from my 7th house of relationships to my 10th house of career. I can have both, although it all depends on how hard I want to work for it. And how do I have a relationship and a career with square's to each other? No doubt I am a career-minded type of gal, so in order to have a relationship I would have to be coupled-up with a career-minded man. He would definitely need to have a Life to be in my Life. If he had nothing going on in his Life or was not as driven and ambitious as myself, then I would probably not be attracted to him in the first place. Now granted this could present other challenges such as two workaholics posing as two ships that pass in the night, but at least we have each other too. Awwwwwwwe . . how romantic.

When I write your Natal Chart and tell you about T-Squares and squares, do not be afraid of this information. For Goodness sake folks! Embrace it! Accept the challenge and build your fine character. It's all Good folks. It's all Good.

BE PREPARED!

Audio'Siyo or Osiyo [Hello in Cherokee]

On Friday, June 30th through Tuesday, July 4th I will be heading out again on one of my camping adventures. This time with my whacked out group of friends. If you plan on ordering a Natal Chart during those dates I will write your Natal Chart when I return on Wednesday, July 5th.

As a writer, I never go anywhere without my trusty writing equipment. So I will 'be prepared' and I will have my mega-mondo-ninja-commando laptop with me to check order status and respond to e-mails so I do not get backed up when I return. I will check e-mails and orders only in the mornings during these dates. If you order between now and Friday afternoon, I can still get your Natal Chart to you in the usual time crunch. Otherwise, you may have to wait until Wednesday, July 5th.

This reminds me of a client I was working with one day who said her dream was to become a photographer. I sat up straight, smiled showing all my teeth and said, "Oh, take my picture! Take my picture! She said, "I don't have my camera with me." I said in my Capricorn Moon tone, "Well then how the heck are you ever going to become a photographer if you don't carry your camera wherever you go. Be prepared woman!!! Do you want to be a photographer or not!?" Believe me folks, if you have a passion, nothing will stop you from realizing it. So yep, I am a writer and I even take the mega-mondo-ninja-commando laptop camping just like I did last weekend.

If you are not showing God that you are 'prepared' to handle what you are praying for, then why should He take you seriously if you don't even take yourself seriously?

I will most definitely have your daily horoscopes posted through Tuesday, July 4th before I leave. Being that I am unsure how well the connection will be in that particular camping area, I do not know right now if I will be able to update the Spiritual Progression Path and Daily Message each day. You know I will certainly 'be prepared' to try. That would be outrageously cool if God was saying right now, "I heard that!"

I did add the picture of my brother Jerry to the Daily Message I wrote the other day. Just click here to see his picture. What! It's 3:30 AM! Back to writing those horoscopes. Have a seriously awesome Tuesday.

Who Are My Spiritual Teachers?

Audio'Siyo or Osiyo [Hello in Cherokee]

Two of the most popular questions in my e-mail box are, "Who is your spiritual teacher? . . . and "What spiritual books do you read?" Quite honestly, I do not read any spiritual or self-help type books other than just a few exceptions. I really do not. I have not read any books by Marianne Williamson, Gary Zukav, Neale Donald Walsch, Wayne Dyer, Alan Cohen, Don Miguel Ruiz, Bruce Wilkinson, Rick Warren, Joyce Meyer . . . and the list goes on and on.

I have read ALL of Florence Scovel Shinn's writing, the entire Left Behind Series, Babylon Rising Trilogy and the Soon Trilogy by authors Jerry Jenkins and Tim LaHaye. Now, on numerous occasions I have been given books by some of the other authors listed above but I do not feel that reading them would be fair to my writing. I am very clear on this matter.

The one and only purposeful reason why I do not read any spiritual or self-help authors is because I honestly feel that it would influence the purity and style of 'my' writing. For example, I always say that I live my Life deliberately and purposefully. I am an intentional person. I am awake, clear and conscious most of the time, so I am a very deliberate human being. Okay, so sometimes I have a momentary lapse of reason and mess up royally, but the majority of the time, I live my Life deliberately and purposefully. At the bottom of all my e-mails I have an excerpt from my book that says . . .

"I propose the reason why 30-day programs have such a low success rate is because they are out of alignment with Divine Order. They fall short of the necessary 40 days for transformation to occur."

I am all about transformation. Transformation is not changing jobs, boyfriends or residences. Transformation is a complete self-inspection, inventory and overhaul of your Life. I have been asked many times if I read Rick Warren's book called, "The Purpose Driven Life." Since I have not read the book, I was told that he talks about living your Life on purpose. And he also talks about the 40 days as I do in my book and on this website, specifically under the affirmations page. I believe all of us spiritually motivated writers are really just saying the same thing. We are just saying it differently in order to relate to a certain population of people who can relate to us. I say it one way, he says it another and still another author will say it differently than us. Then our readers will either identify with us or someone else.

Moreover, none of this enlightened sounding information from any of us spiritual writing authors is new stuff. It is all in the Bible, which is the only spiritual book I read. I am an experiential junkie and I couple my Life experiences with Biblical reading. So, if you are ever wondering where I get my inspiration, stuff, writing material, ideas, stories, analogies, incentive, stimulation, etc., I get it all from the Bible. And I certainly do not shy away from admitting it. As I say under the Book Club button on this site, "I sit with my Bible and the dictionary, looking, digging, probing for insight and answers. The more I read, the more I say to myself, "Cool. The Man wins again! Oh yeah, I get it!" Everything you ever wanted to know about God, Jesus, Love, wisdom, triumph, miracles, knowledge, blood, sweat and tears. It's all here in one handy-dandy book! Kick off your shoes and curl up with this one, it's a crowd pleaser!"

I'm sure all of the other authors are wonderful writers, I just do not think it would be fair to influence my writing, consciously or unconsciously. I want Pure Divine Inspiration. Still, I believe - When it is the Truth, it shows up everywhere.

FROM CATERPILLAR TO BUTTERFLY

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

This evening my brother Jerry leaves for Okinawa, Japan. Naturally I feel sadness as I type to you and I realize this sadness is my own selfish feelings because I will miss him, which makes it about me instead of him. Strange how that works. At the same time, I am jazzed out of my mind for him and watching his 'transformation' from civilian to U.S. Marine. It is a complete mental, spiritual and physical shift. Gratefully we have a first cousin who is in the Army also stationed in Okinawa and one of Jerry's oldest childhood friends is also stationed in Okinawa in the Air Force.

My brother Jerry

At any given moment we are all going through a process of transformation or transmutation. There is a difference. When I decided to close my clinic five years ago in order to pursue the Life I have now, I knew back then that it was not going to be just a transmutation process. It was going to be a total process of transformation. In Native American Animal Medicine, Snake Medicine represents transmutation and Butterfly Medicine represents complete transformation.

If you were to look up transmutation, it would tell you that it is the process of changing from one thing into another. Transmutation actually seems as though it should be Butterfly Medicine since a caterpillar changes into a butterfly. In Native American Animal Medicine, transmutation is on a spiritual and consciousness level, it is not on the physical plane per se. Therefore, Snake Medicine sheds his old skin and transmutes his spirit. 'Snake People' have lived through many 'snake bites' in their Life, therefore, they gain wisdom, understanding and obtain a deeper sense of connection to the spirit world or "Great Spirit" meaning God. I am certain we can all relate to Snake Medicine. Snake bites does not mean being bit literally by a snake (although it can in some instances), but being bitten sharply through Life experiences. After so many bites, Snake People will change and reach a higher level of wisdom because they know better. If you do not shed your old skin, then you can look forward to another 'snake bite.' And if you realize the need for changing your spirit and deliberately choose not do it? Oh my!!! Then you can look forward to some sort of Life experience that will feel as if you were bitten by a King Cobra!

If you were to look up transformation, it would tell you that it is the process of changing 'structure'. Butterfly Medicine is the only living organism capable of changing its entire genetic structure (DNA) from caterpillar to butterfly. 'Butterfly People' change their Life internally (spiritual plane) and externally (physical plane). Not only has their spirit changed, their entire Life has changed personally, professionally and within their own family. Butterfly People look beyond the physical realm and progress into the spiritual realm, which challenges the person to move their physical body around the planet as a "spiritual being" rather than a "human being." Saying it is one thing, doing it is another.

After I closed the clinic to 'pursue my Life', I could not figure out who I was and what I should call myself. When people would ask what I did, there was a stammering in my voice because I had not quite figured out what to call myself. Even though I was a radio talk show host, it did not describe what I do with you on this website. I knew I was a Metaphysician. I knew I was Healer. I knew I was a Faith Healer. I knew I was a Faith Keeper. I knew I was an Astrologer. I knew I was Eastern Band Cherokee Indian. I knew I was a Chiropractor. I knew I was a woman of science. I knew I was a child of God. I knew I was a spirit. I knew I was a communicator. And I knew I was going to use my education differently than what was normally expected.

The Thinker

It took me a few years to put it all together and I do believe that I have made the full transformational shift from caterpillar to butterfly. Now when someone asks what I do for a living I say, "I am an Author, Mentator and Holistic Health Consultant. Basically, 'I think' for a living." It all comes back around to me being a Gemini, who I was born to be in the first place. That is as simple as it gets. The Gemini motto is, "I think, therefore I AM."

Celebrating 'Anything' In Particular

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

Wow! This has been one busy summer. Actually summer technically began only three days ago. Yesterday when we returned from our camping trip, my mom dropped my brother Jerry and I off at the water park to meet up with my daughter Karmen and my grandson Big Tree. I call my grandson Big Tree because his middle name is Sequoia. And we had a blast! I should have taken pictures. DANG IT! Oh well, the day is embedded in my brain and it's all Good.

Afterward, I met up with 'the group' I run around with and guess what happened. Remember the sunglasses I told you about a few days ago? Well I was right! Christine wanted to see the sunglasses because she read the Daily Message about them. And she Loved them, in the way that I knew she would. Needless to say, since we were out celebrating her half-birthday, I gave her the sunglasses for a half-birthday present. I guess I could have broke them in half for both of us. HA! Oh - yes this crazy group I hang out with celebrates half-birthday's too. Remember I told you a few daily messages back that we celebrate nothing in particular. Actually, I guess the Truth is, we celebrate 'anything' in particular.

Have a great weekend folks and whatever you do . . remember to practice being YOU and have fun living your Life! By the way I will finally update the weekly horoscopes Sunday night.

Creating Life Stories

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

We - my mom, dad, brother and I, are headed back this morning from our camping trip as soon as we wake up, stretch and grow. Yesterday it rained half the day. Wait a minute! No it didn't . . it poured. The storm didn't bother us one bit. My mom Loves sitting or walking in the rain and my dad enjoys watching a huge storm roll in. The beauty of the rain barreling toward us across the lake was breathtaking to say the least. At the last minute, the four of us ran inside the travel trailer like four curious kids kneeled on the seat cushions peering out the windows for our entertainment.

Growing up, we lived in an area that experienced a fairly high level of tornado's throughout the summer. My dad would always stand in the yard barefoot watching the sky change colors as the tornado edged closer. We would all be huddled in the basement with blankets over us waiting for him, then at the very last minute, he would come running down the stairs yelling, "Get down! Get down!"

It has been great sitting around and talking about the things that made us who we are today. All of those stories created a ME! Just like your stories created a YOU! It has been a great time the past few days hanging out with my brother Jerry before he heads to Japan on Sunday for two years. I will definitely miss him. And what we did the past few days, is just create another portion of our Life story to remember and laugh about in the future. It's all Good folks. It's all Good.

The Band of Gypsies

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

Here I am sitting in a travel trailer in Central Illinois, camping with the 'Band of Gypsies'. Back in March I wrote to you about my gypsy parents and how they are likely to turn up in any city or state at a moment's notice. This is because they are both North Node Sagittarius and Sagittarius is the gypsy of the zodiac. I am also here with my brother Jerry (the Marine) who is back home for a few days before he leaves for Japan this coming Sunday. And guess what? He is a Sagittarius too.

Contrary to popular belief, opposing signs are not opposition. I am a Gemini and Sagittarius is my opposing sign. This is not opposition; this is balance. It is so interesting being on the road with family and watching the dynamics. My parents and my brother all have strong Gemini charts. Sagittarius is the long distance traveler and Gemini is the local traveler. Last week we were all four out of town only to meet up and head out on the road in a travel trailer.

Being the master communicator of the zodiac (Gemini), I do not go anywhere without my laptop, cell phone and Blackberry. Even while camping I have to be able to get online and communicate. What a crazy Life and I Love it! What fun sitting around the campfire while we stare at the lake and listen to mom's music CDs that are sung in Cherokee. My mom is a Cancer, my dad is a Pisces and naturally we are camped right on the edge of the lake. Of course! Many of you know that I have a South Node Pisces and I cannot swim one single stroke. So being here with a Pisces is the best Life preserver I could have. I do not go near the water without my dad physically present or wearing my Life jacket. And believe me, I do wear it. Remember the bird that pooped on my arm back in February when I tried to get near the water without a Pisces or Life preserver with me?

Keep reading your Natal Charts over and over again to see how your family shows up in your Life. And then work with it. Use it! Family can actually be fun to hang out with, when you understand who you are and then take the time to understand who they are.

Indian Giver Follow-Up

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

In re-reading yesterday's Daily Message, it reminded of what happened early yesterday morning before I wrote the daily horoscopes. My friend Julie picked me up really early and we ran a few errands together. When I got into her car she chuckled at my sunglasses. They were really dark, rectangular and white. I absolutely funky sunglasses and reading glasses and I can't get enough of them.

Julie kept laughing and told me they were hideous and every time she looked at me she could not get past the sunglasses. As we laughed along I was telling Julie about a meeting that I had at the church later in the evening and that Christine (a friend of ours who would also be at the meeting) would probably like my sunglasses.

Then I said, "I should have bought two pair, one for me and and one for Christine and then I won't have to give her mine."

At the same time Julie and I let out a huge belly laugh. Then I said, "Well there ya' go. That shows what kind of Christian I am. Here I was just thinking about myself." We laughed so hard at the awareness we almost had to pull over, which is probably why I wrote the Daily Message yesterday about the Indian Giver.

Folks, looking at yourself and laughing at your awarenesses is just hilarious. Get out there and enjoy being you!

INDIAN GIVER!!!

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

As a Cherokee, I was always taught that if you can feel that someone genuinely appreciates, admires and Loves what you have, then you have to give it to them. This is about attachment and detachment.

One day while at a festival with 'the group' that I hang out with doing a fund-raiser, a friend of mine and I were stopped by a man who commented on my necklace. It was a hand-carved wooden Cross on a leather strap that I honestly cherished. I had gotten it when I was back home in Cherokee, the Indian Reservation in North Carolina, where the majority of my family lives. The necklace was hand-carved by one of my kin in Cherokee. When we stopped, the man just kept going on and on about my necklace. So I took it off and gave it to him.

My friend exclaimed, "You can't give him that necklace! YOU LOVE THAT NECKLACE!"

I replied, "Yes I can and I will!" Then I took off my necklace and gave it to the man. I tied it around his neck as he held it with one hand smiling.

Then I said to him, "What does that Cross mean to you?"

He said, "Nothing. Not a thing. I just liked the necklace. It means nothing to me."

We just turned and walked away.

I remember my friend saying, "See! I knew you shouldn't have given it to him. You really liked that necklace!"

I stopped, turned and looked at my friend and said, "I have to leave it up to God. I don't know if that guy is a wolf in sheep's clothing or not. All I know is that God is now hanging around that man's neck whether he realizes it or not and I'm Good with that."

That, my friends is the True meaning of an 'Indian Giver.'
It is all about attachment and detachment.
While I was more attached to Christ,
this man could not have been more detached from Him.

Working With Chart Configurations

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

If I have written a Natal Chart for you, please pay close attention to the letter that I have written to you at the very beginning of the chart.

If I have indicated that you have a Yod, this means that it is an area of focused energy in your Life. I happen to have a Yod in my Natal Chart too. My Yod is Jupiter in Aquarius, which is the most freedom-Loving planet in the most freedom-Loving sign. This Gemini Loves her freedom to no end, not to mention that I was born during the Week of Freedom. My freedom and independence is so important to me that all of my decisions are based on how it affects my freedom. Even more, my Jupiter in Aquarius Yod happens to be in my 7th house of relationships! Now THAT probably explains why I have been single for 18 years and you why you won't hear one complaint out of me for being single. (winky wink) It is up to me to help others understand my desire for freedom and independence, not make them guess why I do what I do.

If I have indicated that you have a Grand Trine, then this is a clear indication of your intuition and what you can use to improve upon it. I happen to have three Grand Trines in the water signs, so I use water to increase and help me enhance my intuition.

Whatever chart configurations I have written into your Natal Chart, it is up to you to work with them and understand them, as well as, help others understand you better as a result. These little nuggets are all over your chart, get in there and make them work for you.

Head's Up On The Next Mercury Retrograde

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

Mercury Retrograde takes place on July 4th, 2006 through August 12, 2006. There are three times during the year when a focus on "cleaning up your act" can be fairly enlightening. This is during Mercury Retrograde. It is sort of like doing Spring cleaning three times a year and we all know how Good it feels when we move energy around. We feel renewed and regenerated.

"No two opposing energies can hold the same space."

How can you call in a new relationship when you are holding on to pictures of an old relationship? How can you call in new business opportunities when you have old unfinished paperwork from an old business?

Mercury Retrograde is merely an illusion that communication systems may run haywire, since Mercury rules communication, media and organization. This is merely the Sun casting a shadow on the planet Mercury making it appear as if it is moving backward. Let's face it, no planet really ever moves backward. That would be a scientific first! It is just an illusion, but our response to Mercury Retrograde is very real.

Why not take advantage of the focus on "cleaning up your act" when Mercury is retrograde. This means wrap up old projects, organize your paperwork, closets and garage. In other words, finish up your old business and refrain from starting or signing anything new during this time. Start throwing out the things that no longer serve you and prepare for renewed energy into your life. You can call forth anything you desire once you release the past. Take advantage of the awareness that Mercury Retrograde brings by moving old energy out and calling new energy in.

Where is "Karma" in your Natal Chart?

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

Alright, I am going to tell you something that most people want to know, BUT are sometimes too afraid to hear. There will be about 70 percent of you out there who will read, process and hear the information and then do something positive with it. The other 30 percent will react negatively and fearful thereby burying yourself in a deeper hole or simply do nothing at all. Alrighty! That is your free will and your choice.

Karma is the entire cycle of cause and affect. It is the sum of all that you have done. In other words, your past deeds impact your future experiences. This makes YOU responsible for your own deeds and actions. So if you are being required to be responsibile and accountable for what you have done in the past, what planet do you think will hold you accountable. Yep! Saturn! Dun Dun Dunnnnnnnn . . .

As I have been writing to you over the past couple of days about Saturn, which you can find these archived writings under the June 2006 Daily messages in the left green columm, Saturn requires us to be responsible and accountable. I had told you that my Saturn rests in my 7th house of relationships and that I had been married twice. Look folks, your Saturn is going to land somewhere in your Natal Chart, so you may as well embrace it as a cold hard lesson and just deal with it. My karma in relationships was my own doing, from past lives and brought forth into my present Life.

I was just telling a friend the other day that I chose some pretty interesting men to teach me about relationships. Now granted, at the time of the challenges I was not thinking they were too interesting. But now I am passed the point of blaming and shaming others and taking responsibility for my Life. I see myself as a spiritual being in a physical body, animating myself about the planet and I choose to live my Life in that way. I do not embrace challenges as just a physical human being. I am looking at the big spiritual picture. I am here to learn and do my 'Homework', so I can go 'Home' to God. I am very deliberate and purposeful about it. I am Christian, so I will not be scratching and crawling to stay here on the planet. This does not frighten me because I believe in eternal Life. My goal is to go 'Home' with a capital 'H.' Now while that may seem a bit "out there" - I don't really care. I am after learning, repairing, taking responsibility, self-correcting and making amends.

Until such time that I leave the planet, I will continue to correct and repair my Life in all areas of my Natal Chart and not just my 7th house. In other words, why create 'karma' for the next go around?

SATURN FOLLOW-UP

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

This is a follow-up to yesterday's Daily Message on Saturn - the planet of discipline, responsibility, authority, restriction, limitation, patience, karma and father energy. Folks, just because Saturn has landed in one of your twelve houses does not mean that you just lay down and wait for Saturn to pass. Saturn is not going to "pass" in your Natal Chart. Your Natal Chart is written in stone. Your Natal Chart is the first x-ray of your Life. Saturn stays in a particular house in your Natal Chart your entire Life. YOU have to learn how to use what Saturn is trying to teach you. Once you learn it, there is a huge reward for you.

Saturn happens to be in my 7th house of relationships. This DOES NOT mean that all of my relationships are doomed because of Saturn. That would be such a juvenile and ridiculous thought. Unless of course I just blatantly refuse to learn anything in my relationships, then I suppose I would have to look forward to more difficulty and challenge while I shift the blame for my choice in partners. Thank God my personality does not just lay down and give up, which is a typical reaction to this planet. To blame Saturn for everything and not taking responsibility for my own actions and reactions in relationships would only inspire Saturn to keep teaching me until I learn. Remember, Saturn will require YOU to take responsibility.

I will just say it! I screwed up! I screwed royally in my two marriages! And sure it takes two to make or break a relationship. I accept my contribution Good or bad. Now I can play my sorrowful violin about having been married and divorced twice and then consider them 'failed' or I can consider them a success because I learned something very valuable. I honestly believe that I had two successful marriages because I learned so much about ME! It's awesome! But that's just me. I prefer to learn, get straight and fly right rather than blame others for my choices. Drama is not an attractive posture for me.

Now I'm 45 and I learned even more about myself having gone through a couple of relationships after the marriages. It's all Good because I choose to look for my lesson and become a better person. If you are still blaming Saturn or someone else for the area of your Natal Chart that Saturn affects, then you can look forward to more of the same because you are not taking responsibility.

If Saturn is in your second house of money and you are earning but not getting ahead, then the obvious solution is to stop spending and creating more bills for yourself. If I have written a Natal Chart for you, then Saturn has been explained to you. It is what it is. Learn what it is teaching and then apply the lesson. You have to take responsibility, PERIOD!

Now, my particular Saturn placement has more challenges than just sitting in the 7th house. It has aspects to other planets that really make relationships for me a challenge. Saturn really does want to reward us for a job well done. And Saturn usually rewards us later in Life IF we have been immature with Saturn earlier in Life. Some of us are immature with Saturn and some of us aren't. Me? I was immature. Now being 45, Saturn is rewarding me with a more than wonderful relationship. I did my relationship homework, I am more patient, more grown-up and definitely more responsible. I have to say, everything I went through in past relationships was worth it to teach me what I needed to know in this present relationship. It's all Good and I would do it all again in order to have what I have now.

If you want to use Saturn to your advantage, then you have to learn from it. You have to get responsible and accept your bad decisions in the past. Apply the lesson, do not repeat it and move on. It does not get any more simple than that.

The Planet Saturn
Discipline, Responsibility, Authority

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

I was talking with a woman one day about her constant attraction to traffic and parking tickets. She was telling me how she will get a ticket if a policeman is within a two mile radius and how she must have a target painted on the side of her car. She went on to tell about the last time she was pulled over.

She said to the police officer, "Go ahead and give me a ticket because I always get a ticket anyway."

He responded, "And you still haven't learned your lesson?" So he gave her a ticket.

This is a perfect example of the planet Saturn and how it works in the real world. Saturn is the planet of discipline, responsibility, authority and accountability. Saturn will hold you accountable. It is father energy, therefore it will ground you as if you were once again fourteen years old living back home with your parents. Saturn reprimands, spanks and takes away the car keys. Saturn puts the squeeze on you and teaches you a lesson until you finally get it. Unfortunately, some of us have to be taken down and knocked out, laying in ditch, naked, bruised and tired, with no friends and no money before we learn our lesson.

This woman was rebellious, defiant, arrogant and self-important telling the police office, "Go ahead." I thought to myself, "oooooh, Saturn is going to spank her bad." The lesson was not necessarily about her driving as much as it was about her bucking authority and her self-absorbed, self-interested attitude. She had no right to drive a car if she had no regard for herself. Because you know if she did not have any regard for herself, then she would not have any regard anyone else on the road. Interestingly enough, that same woman lost her license for a year after going to court. Lessons add up! Saturn is the father in your Natal Chart and will take away the car keys if you refuse to behave and grow up.

We all have a Saturn placement in one of our twelve houses in our Natal Chart. Where is mine? My Saturn is my 7th house of relationships. OUCH! And guess who was married and divorced twice before the age of 27? Yep, me! I finally got a clue and thought, if I do not straighten up and fly right, at this rate I could be married and divorced three times by the age of 30. I have a child to think about. Needless to say, I got a clue, embraced responsibility and channeled the energy into college at the ripe age of 27.

Saturn will spank you or reward you for a job well done, just like a proud papa. As usual, you "get to" choose how Saturn will work for you. It's all Free Will baby!

URGENT FINANCIAL NEEDS

Audio'Siyo or Osiyo [Hello in Cherokee]

One of the largest topics in my e-mail box is regarding urgent financial needs. These e-mails are usually severe concern and often times, shear desperation over money. I probably receive an 'abundance' of these type of e-mails because I have a lot of experience in "urgent financial needs." How would I know what to teach you if I had not experienced this "urgent need" myself? This puts me into fianancial wonderment mode, just wondering if I had to experience all of that self-induced financial trauma so that I can help you. Well let's see . . . either I believe that everything happens for a reason or I don't. And I do, so here goes:

Folks, I have been through enough embarrassing financial situations in my Life for all of us and I can tell you first hand that whatever I was going through was my own fault. One thing that I have learned along my spiritual progression path is to take responsibility for my self-ish, self-interested, self-indulgent and self-important financial mis-management. I use to pray over and over again begging for assistance and yet I was not doing one dang thing any different. I refused to give up any of 'my stuff' while not doing anything differently. Somehow I thought I would just pray money to myself without having to change my lifestyle. I was working hard and spending harder. Then one day, I got it! Would I give my child more money if she was just going to mis-manage it? I know for a fact I wouldn't!

Pray to God and row to shore.
Old Indian Proverb

This means while praying, reciting a Novena, or saying affirmations, I would have to pray, push and earn; pray, push and earn; pray, push and earn. Having money just dropped in my lap or borrowing from someone else would not teach me a lesson for my self-important spending. I had to pray, trust that God heard my prayer and then keep pushing. The harder I prayed, the harder I worked. The harder I worked, the faster my prayers were answered. I was also willing to give up a lot of material possessions, in order to get what I truly wanted. I also knew that I had the capability of getting it all back one day soon. I just had to pray to God and keep rowing.

After I closed my clinic five years ago to start this website and to talk and write for a living, my lifestyle was severely altered like you would not believe. Some of the alteration came by force and some of it came voluntarily. Believe me, voluntary change feels much better than forced change. For about six weeks my parents even had to buy me groceries! My parents did not understand what I was doing, they wanted me to go back and re-open the clinic; yet at the same time, they supported my desire and they did believe in me. I was more than willing to take the plunge in order to get what I really wanted. This was long before any of you knew I existed. Oh I showed God I was serious about this website and I stayed with it even through the darkest, loneliest and most financially crippling time in my Life. Now granted, there are going to be many of you out there who cannot afford cable TV right this very minute and will not even be willing to give up cable TV in order to invest that money in another area of yourself. That's fine! Have fun watching cable TV. You will just keep treading water until you get the lesson.

I remember having this "financially abundant and arrogant" way of thinking that I should not have to give up one single thing because I am a child of God! Boy was I wrong! It took me a while but I got it. The kind of Life that I was seeking required me to learn how to be financially responsible first and it meant that I had to start completely over. I had to teach myself how to handle money. I lost a lot of friends because guess who wasn't buying lunch anymore? And there were just a couple of friends that really stuck it out with me. Then along the path I collected 'the group' that I play with now.

What I wanted was BIG, so I was willing to go for BIG! Now? IT'S HUGE! If you are serious about managing your financial situation and earning money like a grown-up, then you have to "Pray to God and row to shore." You have to keep rowing. And if you are looking for even further insight, please check your Natal Chart. I used my Natal Chart to guide me and I'm telling you, it works! I have written plenty of nuggets in your chart about your 2nd house of money. Obviously the unflattering things you need to change and the gifts you need to expand upon. It is as simple as that!

Your Intuitive Response

Audio'Siyo or Osiyo [Hello in Cherokee]

Being a Gemini Butterfly, I am once again in my natural state, which is on a traveling binge. As I was collecting all of my luggage and heading out the door, I noticed that my traveling office on wheels "felt" a little light. I stopped briefly and did a mental check list of all the things that I must have with me to continue working as if I had not left St. Louis at all.

There I was at the Metrolink, which is the train station that takes me to the airport when it dawned on me. The power cord to my computer and the power cord to my Blackberry are not in the bag! Now that little glitch can put this communicating Gemini completely out of business and out of touch for an entire week if I allow it. I remained calm, took responsibility, knowing my intuition was alerting me and I ignored it. I did not even consider opening the 'office on wheels' to double-check. When I returned back home to grab my power cords, I thought about how I would have solved this situation if I arrived at my destination without power cords because I'm certainly not going to lose my mind or get whacked out over not having power cords for a week. I would have definitely learned a valuable lesson having not listened to my intuition. There are worse things in Life that could happen. I would have probably just headed to the nearest electronics store and purchased cords. Not a big deal.

Here is the intuitive point. I practice my intuition with absolutely everything. The more I practice, the better I get. If you believe everything happens for a reason, then you will pay attention to your intuition. If you are merely giving lip service to this statement, then you probably won't listen to your intuition. When I catch myself not listening to my intuition, then I self-correct as quickly as possible.

In the Natal Charts that I write, I state specifically how you can increase your intuition. Since I have three Grand Trines in the water signs, then my intuition comes to me through "feeling." This means "I feel" emotionally and physically whatever it is that I am intuiting. When I grabbed my office on wheels, it 'felt' lighter to me and it was only two power cords that were missing. My 'feeling' was not only about the change in 'weight' as much as it was about 'feeling' that something was not quite right. Then again, I 'felt' the change in weight of the office on wheels on a physical level, even though it was only by a few ounces because I have just become more and more sensitive. Those of us who increase our intuition through the water element are very sensitive to feeling.

If I have written a Natal Chart for you, then re-read the information on your intuition. I write which element you can use to increase your intuition. You will find this information on the second or third page of your chart. All you have to do is practice being you.

There is also a section in the Treat Yourself Special Home Study e-Course called "Intuitive Response" that teaches you specifically about your intuition. Developing your intuition can be as easy or difficult as you like.

WHATEVER YOU FEAR
TAG YOU'RE IT!

Audio'Siyo or Osiyo [Hello in Cherokee]

I was talking to a man during a consult over his desire to manifest a wonderful relationship. After we went through the usual ground-breaking questions of why he 'chooses' to be alone, I asked him what he was doing to meet new people. Not necessarily meeting new women, but meeting new people. (New people know other people and expands the search area.) He told me that he has very few friends and doesn't really go out.

I asked him if he was willing to go to a movie alone, go out to dinner alone or join a group or organization alone. The idea of going anywhere alone or joining anything by himself was an embarrassing thought and completely out of the question. He didn't know what people would think if he was alone. Naturally I had to severely challenge him on how self-important that statement was that he would think everyone would stop and contemplate his Life.

In my flat, yet humorous Capricorn Moon tone I asked, "Well who the heck are you? Should I be asking for your autograph or something?"

He chuckled and said, "No, it's not like that. I just don't like being alone and if I go out in public alone, then other people will see my discomfort. To make matters worse, I'm afraid that I will always be alone.

I said to him, "TAG! You're IT! I told him that he really didn't have anything to fear because he was already living his worst fear, and that, was being alone. Now that he realized that he was standing right smack dab in the middle of the fear, there was no where to go except forward. How much more brave could he get standing in the middle of a fear? Now he could either stand there waiting for his Medal of Bravery or he could do something about it.

The bottom line is whatever you fear, you are
