PURPOSE: To define our self-esteem which feeds our intuition and gut instincts. This is the personality that we developed during our youth. It is also known as our "ego" chakra. We use this chakra to help us gain our own personal power and self-love. This chakra also represents our mental understanding of our emotions.

ORGANS: Stomach, small and large intestines, diabetes, pancreas, indigestion, anorexia/bulimia, liver, adrenal glands, arthritis, colon diseases, gallbladder, nervous system, metabolism, muscles, middle spine, spleen, kidney, umbilicus.

RELATES TO: Lack of self esteem, self-image and self-judgment, fear of rejection, over-sensitivity to criticism, fears of others knowing our secrets, inability to make decisions and not trusting our intuition and gut instincts.
