VIRGO - "I ANALYZE, THEREFORE I AM."
MARS KEYWORDS: Energy, aggressiveness, competitive, decisive, action, initiative, impulsiveness, adventurous, quick, rapid, physical energy, headstrong, courage, assertiveness and rash.
Mars is in Virgo from September 5, 2017 until October 22, 2017 Virgo is the mark of the 'marksman' . . the sharp shooter . . the 'specialist . . the highly-trained . . tailored intelligence . . specific skills . . special ops . . and special forces.
Mars is the planet of assertion and drive. Mars (along with the Sun) is the testosterone in the chart. It will describe the degree of force that we go after what we want. Depending on the sign that Mars is in, it will tell us whether we are forceful and confrontational or if we prefer to sit back and watch. It will also reveal what motivates us and what desires drive us most powerfully. The house that Mars occupies in your Natal Chart or Solar Return is where these characteristics will manifest the most.
Virgo is the sign of skilled labor, skilled intelligence or skill craftsman and any instruments associated with those skills. Since Virgo naturally rules the 6th house of health, fitness, hygiene, nutrition and exercise, there will likely be a spike in the sales of fitness equipment, supplements and nutrition. Mars in Virgo is a typical placement for those in the healthcare field, not to mention it is a fabulous placement for a personal trainer or nutritionist.
Mars is the planet of combat, fighting, competition, force and aggression, so we will likely hear more about special ops, special forces and highly trained military personnel.
Virgo is a natural systematic and methodical sign. When coupled-up with aggressive Mars, this creates an ability to systematically put a plan to action and succeed because Mars has incredible power and force behind it. If you are even remotely thinking about getting into better shape or controlling your health, this is the time to do it because Mars in Virgo means business. There is plenty of time to lose 10 lbs. before Thanksgiving or even 20 lbs. before Christmas at 2 lbs. per week.
Since Virgo is the sign of the analyst, here are some specifics for you. In order to lose one pound of fat in one week, you need to cut out 3,500 calories. So it will take a 3,500 calorie deficit to lose one pound of fat. 500 calories a day x 7 days = 3,500 calories, which will equal 1 lb. If you want to lose 2 lbs. in one week, then burn off another 500 calories a day in exercise. Again, 500 calories in exercise x 7 days = 3,500 calories. That 7,000 calorie loss will be 2 lbs. per week. BAM! It's diet and exercise folks, it always has been and always will be. Start now and before Thanksgiving (at this writing on Friday, September 1, 2017) you will have lost 24 lbs. by Thanksgiving (if that's what you need). Then you can enjoy Thanksgiving Day and do it again the day after and BAM, just before Christmas you could lose another 10 lbs., (if that's what you need) and all before the New Year. I would start NOW! if I were you.
Virgo is the sign of details and perfection, so you can really get detailed and meticulous on self-improvement when it comes to Mars in Virgo. This sign naturally rules physical health and this should be the focus along with the Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Virgo is all about routine, regimen and the daily grind. If you don't have a daily regimen, then GET ONE! More than likely you are an adult reading this and no one thinks a disorganized, lost, clumsy adult is cute. It's not cute, it's ridiculous!
Mars in Virgo can cause disagreements and strife with co-workers, employees, volunteers or those who are in-service to others such as; clerks, servers and attendants. Remember, Mars is argumentative, aggressive and combative. Aggression and aggravation are pretty easy to read on any face. Be nice folks! You do not want to be the next example of bad behavior on YouTube. It can and will happen if you choose not to play nice. Dial it down a few notches. Mars is aggressive and talking back to those trying to help you is not cool, especially if they are just doing their job or just trying to help. Self-monitor your behavior in the work environment because Virgo has everything to do with the daily work environment. Mars in Virgo can make for a perfectionistic, snarky, picky and rude temperament. If you want to analyze something, then analyze THAT!
